Default excited about my upcoming first jazz performance ever

So on Wednesday, April 25 (7:30pm, Welpe Theater @ Raritan Valley) I'll be playing Lonnie's Lament, a John Coltrane tune. It'll be me, another guitarist, and a stand up bass player. We just played through it today and came up with what the arrangement:is gonna be. We're playin the Head (the main tune) twice, and breaking for improvised solos (12 bar blues), Vamping the beginning of the Head and then playing through the Head once more and Tagging the last 4 measures (repeating). Sorry if some of those jazz/music terms don't make sense. But whatever, all you need to know is it'll be my first live jazz ensemble performance and first time improvising live!!! ahh!!!!

(hoping to have video of it)

So if you're local to the college (central NJ) and wanna come check out all the acts (not all jazz) be my guest! We'll have jazz tunes, an original song, piano players, a sax player, a classical guitar player, and more...

from what I hear from the song on his profile he makes real like, smooth jazz groove type stuff, that's not like what I'm playing really. I'm actually very new to jazz, but once you swing mannn, it's hard to stop .

goodluck and rember anytime u mess up embarrassment really is a shorterm memory and in the scheme of things it counts for nothing......
There is no messing up in jazz. There are only contrasting chords...

Yes I have performed once before (last semester), but it was two classical guitar trio pieces. And yea, there are no wrong notes....just the chromatic scale!
