Ive been trying to check the 0-60 on my car. ive looked it up on the internet, and it says my 2000 Audi A6 2.7T does it in aprox 7 seconds. but ive tried and i can easily do it in 6 with the triptonic. Note, im not flooring it. I know how to drive haha. But a couple of buddies of mine race and they claim that having your car in D3 makes your 0-60 faster. Is this true or not? i couldnt find anything on it. and i dont want to try it if its bad for my car.

Any Ideas?

d3 just means your car wont shift above 3rd gear. so doin a 0-60 run in d3 is not going to hurt it. I also doubt it that you get a 0-60 time of 6flat in tip without WOTing it. Thats a heavy car lol

 

Possibly bought it chipped.

 

Easily do it in 6, eh? How are you measuring? A wrist watch?

Just be careful when you try and clock your 0-88mph....Audi's Flux capasitors are unreliable and send you back to a time you might not want to go to.

 

7 i could believe but 6 flat i don't at all.

 

I'd believe 6 flat if it was chipped and TCUed

 

My 2.8 A6 could do 0-60 in -4.7 seconds brah

it bends time

 

And not flooring it... because you know how to drive. Isn't flooring it all that's really required for a quattro equipped automatic (sorry, tiptronic... cause there's a big difference. Ha)
