Where P=255, solve for T...

Tom gottit right. Not a big math-fan, huh, BF?

FTR, the formula came outta a Audi ad in this months' MotorTrend. Usually I prefer to read C/D, but M/T hadda pretty good article about the next 'Stang GT500.

Me either. The character-set doesn't support higher functions, unless you have math-specific software, which I obviously don't. Now that I think about it, aside from calculating (in my head) my (roughly) current mileage, and the occassional rolling total while I shop, I don't do math EVER!

Actually the Pi you used is a capital Pi, it typically denotes a product, i.e. *A_i = A_1 * A_2 * A_3 * ... A_n (those of you farmilar with Sigma, notation should recognize the concept) lower case Pi, π, denotes the ratio between circumfrance and diameter of a circle, 3.141...

Now what is that equation all about? I.e. what does P, T, etc stand for?

Thanks

Michael
