Default Found me a Job

I found a job but I only work one day a week though (Saturday). It’s a junk yard so I will be around cars and parts which might come in handy for me in the future. I like it because it will not get in the way of my school schedule.

Here’s another thing my other uncle offered to teach me how to paint cars should I take him on his offer, he is a master car painter and it would be nice to learn how to paint cars but I don’t see it in my future but it looks like a nice hobby though. Should I do it or is it a waste of my time

Congrats dude. Being in a junkyard might come in handy when you need those random parts. I'd personally say to go through with the painting thing. Not only could it help you out later on, but you could def get some nice money painting for people. My friend knows how to and he got into a "slight accident" and had to have a bumper and two fenders painted. Needless to say, he dry fitted it and painted it himself and saved loads of money. He actually helps our whole group of friends out when it comes to painting so its a great thing to know how to do. Just my 2 cents.

Sorry to add this but I actually just got a job. Been working 9-5 everyday this week and next week looks the same way. This camp does corporate picnics along with the summer camp. So I get to help plan out and price the catering and the different activities depending on what they want and how many people there are. More or less the stupidest job I have ever come across and i get 8.50/hour, which for my age isnt half bad. Then when the actual picnics happen I walk around taking pictures of these people having fun, print out like 50 and put the rest on cd's. For this I make 10$/hour. Lucky stuff.

Cheng def go and learn how to paint cars.. you might find that you like it.. and get good enough to do it while you finish up school.. who knows.. also its something that you could fall back on, or keep as an amazing hobby.. do it on the side, and make lots of money, never limit yourself, and learn everything you can it will only benefit you

Grats Cheng ! Sounds like it worked out for the better bec. it wont get in the way of your school work etc.
hmm so our SOCAL GTG's will be easier to get to now huh? since youre boss isnt that biznatch n-emore..

I agree w/ Red - I think you should give it a shot, wont hurt anything to learn something new...
& who knows, you may end up liking it, and put more time into becoming a master!

so if I ever fork out $100 for a rear lip spoiler I know who to call to get it painted [:-]

The car painting gig sounds good. That would be a cool skill to learn. Good luck Panda with the new job!

$0.02

1st, congrats! 2nd, YES!!! Leanr to paint. Even if it doesn't become your PASSION, LEARN!!! Learn any and EVERYthing you can, while you're young. As you get older you start to get like Avant80... Loose your mind if I go to the store? I think I lost my turn to drive!!! It's MY TURN! You said I could you go and pick up a pack of cigs for me while you're out? Where was I? Meh! Must notta been important.
