Garage Lifts
Does anyone have any recommendations on 4 post garage lifts. I'm thinking that I only need a 7000 lb capacity. I've looked at the websites of about 6 who advertise in Hemmings Magazine and looked at the installation of a 9000 lb. "Bend Pak" model at a friend of a friend.
The one that I think sounds like the best design is "Backyard Buddy". It's design is different than most in that it's posts are not open on one side for the sliding mechanism as most are. The slider is all on the outside of the post. It also has a better warranty than most - 5 yr vs 2 for most. Any recommendations?

RE: Garage Lifts
That backyard buddy looks nice. I've only seen them at car shows. I've never seen one in a garage.
I wonder how high the ceiling has to be in your garage to fit 2 cars in one space with that thing. I guess if one is a low slung sports car, that would help a lot.
You also have to wonder about putting it together yourself, but none of them are going to ship already together. I hate it when they won't put the prices anywhere on the website too.
