Didnt you say your dad pays for your gas? Or was that someone else? ...
Fuel system (SYSTEM not injector) treatment helps, every 10 - 15K miles, I actually noticed like a 6-8% increase in economy, after I added it for the 1st time... just screw the instructions that say add to full tank of gas, add it to 1/8th of a tank.

Other than that, keep the revs at like 1500 rpm, if speed allows... and do your best to NEVER STOP. if you see a light turning red 1/2 a mile ahead... just slowly slow down... dont keep gassing up to the red, and do all your braking in the last 200 feet... try and not come to a complete stop, so when the light turns green again, you're still rolling. Check tire air pressure... thats another one... umm... new air filter, if yours is aging... I think switching to a lighter oil can make a diff as well -- I was running 5w30... and just try to accelerate lightly, at all times. hard acceleration is whta eats gas. thats all I can think of at the moment.

#6... C'mon, you'd hafta go outta your way to NOT buy Radial tires these days.

#7... In stop and go driving your AC is a gas-guzzeling burden. Once you get above 60-65mph, your AC is actually more efficient than driving with your windows down (#8). Windows create more drag than a sunroof, but not by much.

***my personal addendum***

coast whenever you can. Much harder in a slushbox than with a stick. If you have an auto tranny, pop it in neutral at stop lights. Idling against the clutch slippage puts a load on your mota.

Do like my Mom did. Buy a Geo metro. 3 cylinders, all week on $5.00/gas.
