Default Got to play with a plasma torch today!

has anyone else ever used one of these. they have got to be one of the coolest things ever. i mean cut anything. and the physics behind it is like wow how did some one ever think of that! i just wanted to share it made my day

They do make you look for stuff to cut on. Hypertherm 6oo here and WOW, they are F U N to just watch damn near anything just melt.

they are cool, but have their limitations. stop by the shop in winooski any night next week and i will blow your mind with the machine i run. any time after 8pm.

i run a decent sized waterjet. 60,000psi water and some sand, and i can cut thru pretty much any material up to about 5" and hold a tolerance of about .010" on thick stuff, but usually plus or minus .005 or less on stuff thinner than 1".
