Default Holiday Hawk

The holiday Hawk has made an appearence. We have had 2 hawks around my house and this morning one just hunted down killed stripped and ate the other. It was unbelieveable, its been 10 feet from my house for almost an hour, i took these from a 2nd story window.

Yeah this red tail gets a bird from our feeders about every other day. I was supprised when she took the Goss Hawk though. For the most part they have been coexisting for at least a year peacefully... Nothing like some hawk on hawk action at 7 am

It took him like 40 minutes to take most of the feathers off. Then he chowed on it for about an hour. My dad went out got the paper started his truck, and the bird never left. Bluejays and stuff were landing and eating from the feeders too. He pretty much stripped it, and then took the carcass with him. It was really a beautiful morning, the sun was just rising and theres a nice shiny covering of ice on everything.

Beautiful morning for the hawk, not so much for the victim...
