How to spend your IRS rebate checks
I got this in my email this morning, and thought I'd share it with you:
As you may have heard, the Bush Administration said each of us would get a rebate check to stimulate the economy.
If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to communist China. If we spend it on gasoline it will go to Islamofascist Arabs. If we purchase a computer it will go to Idolatrous India. If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala. If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan or Germany. If we purchase useless stuff it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy.
We need to keep that money here in America. The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it at yard sales, since those are the only businesses still left in the US.

or drug dealers that grow their own pot. In all seriousness though, people have yard sales so they can pay the bills, buy something (which will come from a foreign country), etc etc. I guaruntee they aren't going to just put that money in their pocket, backyard, or bank. So this is a pretty weak argument, I would dissect further but I have been drinking so it would be very scattered...anyway I won't get into my personal opinions on this rebate check *cough* crap...but I am not going to send it back. I will probably end up using it to put a security deposit on a new apartment (transferring to virginia tech), even though I want to lower my a4.
You have to have made at least $3000 last year. If the rents still claim you then you don't get anything. And it's not taxed. I got a notice form the IRS that said checks will be mailed staring in May going according to the last 2 numbers of your SSN#, so those that end in 01 are first and 99 last.
