Some of you might remember me talking about buying or starting a biz but i finally did the first step yesterday. I now control a newly formed LLC. What will I be doing you ask?? well its kinda a different concept, i decided i like my regular job too much to quit and any other biz out there requires a ton of time to run. So i decided i will get into used car sales, repair, parts sales and run it as a part time operation out of a low rent warehouse. Its not gonna be one of those dealerships where you drive up to and look around, but more or less the storefront will be on the internet. All im gonna do is go to auctions and buy enthusiast cars (ie. audi's, bimmer's, porsche's and stuff) and sell them a low markup. Since i am not counting on this as my sole income i can afford to do really low markups on the vehicles and get buy. i have to make a few g's a month to cover the overhead and most dealerships make that selling one car. i plan to take alot of orders to auctions for people who know what they want that way im not sitting on cars for too long. the way i figure is people should be buying there car and not the dealers rent and overhead. The biggest issue is all the start up cost, believe me this sh!t aint cheap. anyways i though i would share maybe i can become a AF sponsor some day!!

anyways i would appreciate you guy's feedback on some good ideas or if you think my ideas are bad, it would all really help

just make sure your storefront/website is done professionaly, maby a flash site or somthing

if its one things i learnd from working at jamba juice, is that great atmosphere spanws great financial results.

well due to the cars i will be dealing with i will prolly do alot of shipping hopefully i can establish a relationship with a shippping company and get good rates, but that shouldnt be a huge poblem from here to cali is 500-800 dollars in which the purchaser will still be getting a smoking deal. i will probably ship for free or half price. and if there local they can come to the warehouse and pick up. im looking for someone that can do a kick ass website. i am gonna register the name with go daddy as soon as i get my wallet.

Good luck with your new venture. I've been doing some floorplan financing(as a side biz) for a cousin of mine that has a used car business. I have to get a license to go to the dealer auctions with him, but I think I will when I'm ready to buy.

if you would like.. you can tell me some parameters for the site and ill have some screen shots for you soon after(however im going out of town for a week, i can keep in touch no problem but i cant carry my macs on the plane with me [&o], so youd have to wait till around the 24th for them).


Id run ya way lower rates then someone else for the site tho. let me know.
