flying choppers? sweet! Back in '84 I tried out for the Warrant Officer School - failed the physical - found out at 20 that I needed glasses [>:]
Back then there was no lasik surgery options. An old buddy of mine, Tom Perkins, made it through and flys the OH 58's last I heard (which was over 15 yrs ago!). Btw, if you ever run across a CW3/4 named Perkins - tall lanky, self obsessed farker - tell him SSG Rosenberger said hi... lol

Feel your pain Palindari! My eyes were fine except for that pesky red-green color blindness!!! Pissed me off then ('88-Army too) and royally pissed me off 13 years later when I was denied a fed. law enforcement position because of it. No surgery for me, but those red lensed laser goggles help!!

I am rated in the Bell 206 JetRanger and the CH-47D Chinook. I might actually take an Apache transition because the Chinook community is 315% over-strength right now. But right now I am content being a drunk for a couple of weeks.
