i guess im an honest guy
 

well today after a horrible day at work i went to my local gas station
i parked next to the coin vacuum

as i was getting in to my car then i see a hole
someone drilled or busted a hole in the coin valt
i kicked it and a massive amount of quaters came out

then i looked in side and there was at least 100 bucks worth of quatrers
casue i had at least 20Bucks worth of quaters in my hand

i gathered all the quaters and went inside and told the gas station attendent and gave em all the quaters i picked up

i didnt get a thank you or anything, just a dont tell anyone about it until i get there
i didnt expect anything but at least a thanks or something
i didnt wait or staycasue i thought it was pointless

but oh well i beleive in karma but a different type of karma
i beleive bad things will happen to me if i do nothing
but if i do something good or nice nothing will happen to me
but good things will not come to me even if i do good deeds
good deeds put me back to a nuetrol place

so i wonder
i wonder would u guys of taken the money and run or reported it like me

I'd do the same. If I was the station owner I'd want someone to do the same for me too. Now if I stumbled upon a bag of cash and jewels with no apparent owner it would be a different story.

I would have used a few Quaters for the vacume and then told them about the machine.They could have atleast done that for you.Its hard to care I know, but only because so many people just don't.It is what it is.

That is deff a drilled hole. You deff did a good thing and i think anyone that was in the position of ownership of a place like that should be greatful.

I had a simular experiance once. I was a manager at a retail store and someone came in with a stolen card. When they went to use it they misspelled the last name (Sommers and they spelled it Summers) and i kept it. It was a guy with a baby and he was buying shoes for the kid (expensive ones, but for him none the less) so i told him to scram and not come back. I was nice with this guy and felt his baby didnt need to go w/o a daddy for some petty stuff. So anyways, i found the owner of the card and called them. I called them and told them who i was and why i was calling and they thought i was selling them something and hung up. About 10mins later they got the hint that something wasnt right and called me back and i filled them in. I told them to bring a reciept of the card and some id and i will return the card. He came in and got the car and i didnt even get a thanks also. :eek: I retrieved his stolen card that was taken not even a few hours ago and not gave it back, but stop a $150 transaction on it and not even a thank you. People are such a holes

I'd like to say I'd take the money, but I know that I couldn't live with that. So many years of "Do a good turn daily" eventually gets to you, I can barely let a piece of liter stay on the ground let alone steal all those quarters (also I absolutly despise change) but I'd turn it in and be that good Eagle Scout that I am. Also I never cared if I got a thank you for doing something nice, I do little things all the time without telling people or expecting something in return. I do believe in Karma and I believe that if you help others, then good things will come your way, they may not have financial backing but not everything has to do about money. I just think why not help someone else out, if they are to caught up in their own selves to that me, then whatever, I got bigger things to worry about

And u should mention that to the owner / mangmnt. who knows - the person u gave the qrtrs to couldve ganked them even.
& you dont need someone to tell you u did a good thing right?;)
ur a good guy & want to be able to look at urself every morning w a clear conscience.
