STi's are quite impressive even in stock form. I'm surprised with $30,000 into it he wasn't able to beat you by more. I don't know where he put his money but for that price he could have a fully built car.

RS4's are fast but your not nearly the fastest stock car on the road and your no where near the fastest when you start adding mods into it. a fully modded b5 S4 could have you , sorry to say you'll just have to deal with having the nicest thing since sliced bread ;)
