i have a audi a4 with the hid system of an a8..... i bought it like that.... and this weekend the car was broken into and someone stole the bulb and cut the harness for it...... can anyone help me as far as figuring out wich wire on the harness goes where? i have two thick wires and then a bunch of tiny wires...... wich ones are posotive wich ones ar negative and wich ones go to the igniter?

Ask the Acura owners. They are being targeted so often by the cheapass Honda civic owners (the street racers type), those who steal their HIDs, Alloy wheels, and worst motors so that they can pump up their car.

 

haha wow stealin headlights and a harness?? i can somewhat see someone beeing scumbaggish enough to steal a stereo but headlights and a harness? wow thats like way below a scumbag, dirtbag, i dont really think i know of anything worse besides maybe a towel head or mexican

From everything I've ever read, if they cut the wires that run to the bulbs (the big high-voltage wires), you're going to have to replace them - you don't want to try and splice those wires. Whether the splice would hold up or not is immaterial - do you want to risk that kind of voltage on a connection that may not be 100% reliable? You could be looking at a fire. Check eBay for someone selling used OEM HIDs, or just buy an aftermarket kit - either way is inexpensive enough that it's worth doing.

 

I would claim it through insurance..
