Ideas? Just ordered an iPhone
So I just ordered an iPhone and saw some guys making docks in the car. I want to keep my cup holder but I don't smoke and don't need an ash tray so I am thinking of making a dock in there. I have an ipod dock sitting at home so I think I want to use it to do make the dock. Any idea's? Should I get a link kit or should I save up and get an after market radio like a pioneer w/ usb input on the back? I want to be able to charge it while its plugged in and play through the speakers if I decide to. This is the dock I have minus remote although it has the sensor so I may want to keep that functionality http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB125 . It is easy to take apart and expose the electronics inside and is a fairly thin main board. I plan on using bondo to make the majority of it because its easy to work w/ and paintable. If I can make it happen I may also keep it removable like the ash tray is just so that nothing in the car is hacked up. Any other idea's? Tips?

i recommend cancelling the order and getting the blackberry storm. i played with it at the store and the thing is awesome. sry but i hate the iphone for many reasons.
but onto the OT, there's a DIY on here or audiworld of some1 making a dock for a ipod video using bondo so it should be the same way to do yours. you should make it so that you can take the dock out and it would seem like nothing was ever done to the ashtray.
