ok, i'm not a huge indy car fan, but yesterday it was announced that the series would be coming to mid ohio, my home track that is 5 mintues from my parent's house, in 2007. this is huge, the cart races they used to hold drew close to 100,000 on race day, but they left in 2003. now people like marco andretti, danica, the penske boys, wheldon and dixon will be back at one of the great road courses in the us.

now, here's the bonus, it's a double header weekend with the alms. which means the audi prototypes will there that weekend as well. in addition to the corvettes, astons, penske porsches and the new acura prototypes. this is huge!!

wish i had a road course near me.., not for the racecars, just so i can make good with the guy at the gate and go play in my car

 

damn those lemans cars are fast, the tdi's and the 007 and 009

 

lol they have organized versions of that you know

 

haha, yeah, it's a sweet track. they do have lapping programs/driving schools you can do that my dad has done w/ his z06, it's not too expensive. check out www.midohio.com.
