Yea I just saw this, I was about to post. The shop is really the people who are stupid here. 16 year old, 16!, $16,000 of work and they didn't have him pay any up front or proof of payments. ANYTHING? They just did the work and hoped for the best?

And now they're wanting donations. What a joke.

yeah, the shop is rather stupid in that they didn't secure payment for for some up front and bought the kid's story hook, line and sinker... that wasn't smart business.

but if the lien goes through they could auction it off and maybe make back the cash?

but as for "donating" cash to their stupidity... sorry, live and learn is the motto here

If you read through the thread the did NOT want donations at all... They never asked for them. People just sort of starting saying they would donate so they started to accept them.

If you go to the website they have a whole section for donations. Haha they obviously want them to help cover "legal fees". Do you really think that they wouldn't actually want donations. They say that to be polite, who is actually going to ASK for donations for their own stupid mistake. On that note I need new suspension donations? E-mail me ga360me@aim.com

Ok so, with the happenings of the Celica Fiasco, we've overextended ourselves. We were proud at first, and didn't want to take donations, but with the cost of legal fees, keeping the shop open, and living; we decided to set up a paypal account for donations. Any donation is appreciated, and will help every bit. - from web site
