Rome is amazing. Florence is beautiful. They're the only 2 places I've been. Have a good vacation.

You must buy a Scooter and some very smart italian suits. Jeans and casual clothing is frowned upon in Italy.
Also watch out for the Mafia as they run everything especially expensive hotels for foreigners.
You must also eat Pasta twice a day and go to church on sundays.

unfortunatly i cant go. which really sucks.

im thinking about going to greece this summer to visit some family that lives there. been there once, it was awesome. we started out in Sofia, Bulgaria and then drove to Istanbull, Turkey then back to bulgaria and then to Greece and then back to BG. was fun as hell.. 3 week road trip.

uh, formal wear (jeans) is not frowned upon. When I was there in Feb. of 04 (rome, florence, perugia) that's pretty much what people wore.

Rome is amazing! Someone mentioned Sofia, Bulgaria, now there is a fun town. Walk around and drink beer and eat pizza on almost every corner. And the best restaraunt I have EVER ate at is there, but I cant remember the damn name of it. It was Brazilian food, awesome!

I've been to Italy twice now. I'd hit all the usual spots like Venice, Rome, the Vatican, Pompeii, Leaning Tower of Pisa, etc. If you're into clubs, the discotechs are lots of fun.
