just made my final payment
my car is officially paid off
now, i am going to be looking for a daily in a few months... probably early next yr....
but what do i go with?
i was thinking get a b6/7 a4 n/a car auto and just dd it.... but the wife said "you can't drive a "normal" car"
so i am thinking urs car or b5 s4 avant.... a6 avant, d2 or c5(i think those are the right names for the early model a6/8 cars.... i am thinking a 4.2......
maybe a 5 series sport wagon?
give me your thoughts and why i should get that car

Congrats! Recently paid mine off, too.
I think don't get an S4 or anything that will require more time or money than a stockish B5 A4. Keep tearing it up w/ your gtrs and then eventualy put down big money for BAT stuff.
30v 2.8's are going for dirt cheap around here. Maybe you could pickup one and G2 it for your DD.
That would be badass. Forced induction B5 A4 that you don't have to worry as much about maf's, coil packs, ICM's, map sensors, boost leaks, etc. like on the 1.8 . I think it could be a low maint. enjoyable dd.

'07/'08 S8 with the 5.2 V10! The wife saw one on the way back from Florida on a transport truck while I was inside grabbing snacks and using the john. When I came back out, she told me to drive around the corner and there it was. I pulled right up and stared for a few minutes, then realized the truck driver was still in the truck. I waved, he waved back, and I drove off mezmerized by the splendor of it all...

Depends on your price range, but I always thought an MK4 VR6 GTI or an E36 M3 would make a great daily. I know they are very different cars, but I like them both. And i would probably be able to resist modding them...... for awhile at least.
And damn i have always loved double vanos M Coupes

90's m3's are not out of the question, but i was going for a bigger bodied car cause that would help with mod bug, and also help carry around 2 growing kids and junk....as for anything new.... not going to happen
i would like to stay bellow 10k, but i am more realistic with 15k
any vr6 would be fun, but i might want to snail it.... so that might be out of the question
