As far as this debate goes, people tend to completely close off the rational part of their minds when thinking about spending money on mods. We all live in a state of intentional ignorance. When someone posts, "This car is costing me too much money!!11" everyone says, "*****!" and stops thinking about it immediately. You can't.

yuik - Speaking of spending money - You are selling your new brakes just because you don't want to run bigger wheels?

Not quite.....because I want to run smaller wheels. I have big wheels now; I want to have 16s. Specifically, the 16x8, 18lb UrS4 Fuchs.

If I'm lucky, I won't spend a dime to get a new smaller set of brakes...just the down time from having no brakes at all on the car.

It will eventually make economic sense, though. Seriously. 16" tires are way less, and those 16" wheels can be had for like 100$ for a set. There are also ultra-cheap, super lightweight (12.5 lbs!!1!!) 16" Mercedes wheels for the Audi bolt pattern out there...and I have read that those can be found for about 50$.

So if I sell my 17s for a couple hundred, I'll have money left over. Ehh?

I'm also selling my stock, heated, manual, clean sport seats. If anyone is interested.

No fiscal tomfoolery here; I just need those out of my room.

Sure, and maybe in about 180 years I'll be able to buy those wheels, sounds like a sweet deal to me.[sm=smiley20.gif]

I just enjoy doing it. I havent done anything with the car yet (damn wife), but my truck I am always looking to do new stuff to. Most of the small stuff I want it done, so it is stop modding it, or start spending lotsa cheese. Wheres the mouse trap??? I know there was extra cheese on it
