I will go with Samsonite. Their newer stuff are light weight yet really sturdy!

Why don't you just go shopping over there instead of bringing a lot of stuff over? I'm pretty sure they have a lot of things you might be interested in. At the very least, you could always buy bunch of white T-Shirts incase you ran out of shirts to wear.

What are you gonna be doing over there anyway? Pursuing your DJ-ing career?

Edit: Did a really quick search, something like this should work for you: http://shop.samsonite.com/Samsonite-.../dp/B003IESHZ0 - it's actually pretty cheap too!

I would also like to add that I am looking into carbon fiber materials and other lightweight materials to pack at the max for 17 nights.

CF luggage? How much are you planning to spend?

Those things go from $2K all the way to $5K.

Choosing a first-class suitcase is hard. The head is spinning from a variety of models, materials, sizes, and types. Plastic cases are usually more durable than fabric ones, they do not get wet and are easy to clean: just wipe with a cloth. Thanks to the solid body, it is possible to safely transport fragile items in a plastic case. I am now looking for a plastic suitcase, can you say anything on delsey luggage reviews?

Preparing for the trip is one of the most enjoyable stages for me, so I always try to make sure in advance that everything is ready for the trip. I especially pay attention to documents, so I received a 5-year Russian passport in advance, so that later I don’t worry that the document might expire unexpectedly.
