The Marines
 

Well, i did it... im doing the marines guys/gals.. right now ill be casually working out / running with them as i finish up this semester in school... then ill have boot camp in january followed by 12 weeks of training. im really excited and im sure this will be an amazing experience with the best outcomes for me later on done the road.. hopefully maturity, discipline, and motivation will lead me to wanting to go to school and apply myself.

just thought id let everyone know

congrats on the decision. I'm sure I've told you my friend got back from basic this summer before I went back to school and it changed him a lot but it was for the better.

it sure will, he was the biggest smart a$$ at times but his instructors fixed that real quick, now he's out in cali for infantry training.

Yeah, congrats and good luck. I'm doing the air guard, I leave in January come back in mid-june

Lol. My buddies in NC for Corpsman training. He's headin to Afghanistan the same month I head to basic.

afghanistan is pretty rough right now, saw a segment on 60 minutes tonight

Yeah. And he's fleet marine force so he'll be with marines.

well im just looking forward to whatever situation im given and making the best of it...

trust me too when i say this, i thought long and hard about this decision, so im making the right one
