Is it me or B5 vs B6
I have driven
B5 96 2.8L
B5 97 1.8T
Car I OWN--> B5 99 1.8T
B5 2001 1.8T (18t) car--hes on forums here.
B6 2002 1.8T (roommates)
Everytime I look at a B6 or even get in one for that matter. I get this sense of "its to nice" It's hard to explain, just something thats been on my mind alot lately. It's like the B5's have that dirty drage-race/track feel to them. When I get in my car and start it... then start driving I get a certain feeling I dont get in a B6.
It's likw the B6 was made to feel "more luxary like"
From the feel of the car to the damn seats it's like the B5 is (IT) I see the B6 more of a showcar then racing it.
what u guys think?

Theres no question that the B6 is more of a luxury car, the interior is a big step up when u go fro the b5 to the b6. On the other hand, the b5 is much lighter and better for the track. Personally i like the added luxury of the b6 and the it stills feels sporty enough for me (although i have an S4 so it better feel sporty regardless of b5 vs. b6). I def. hear what u saying though and couldnt agree more
I think on the inside b6's are far better looking. As for exterior its up to your specific tastes. I'll agree the b5 does look smaller and sportier, whereas the b6 looks a little bigger and has more of a sport/luxury look to it. One thing we can agree on is they are both beautiful cars, and to each his own
I agree with you Dj Spiel, a b6 feels more luxurious while a b5 (especially 1.8T) feels more unrefined and ready to race, even though its interior is far better than most cars on the road today. Unlike most euros (BMW and Merc) Audis age well. People still mistake my b5 for a fairly new car, granted they don't know crap about cars. I do think few cars on the road look sexier than a lowered dolphin grey b6 with 19s, thats my next car.
