well not exactly new but I just picked up a late 80's early 90's VW GTI I cant say for sure what year but it comes with two motors and is in pretty damn good shape, the body is straight and all that good stuff... all for the low low price of FREE..... a friend needed to get rid of it up here in Idaho cuz he moved away, he wanted me to take it to the scrap yard but this thing was just too nice and i couldn’t do it so its coming home with me

closest I've ever cme to a freebie was a '85 Nissan Cherry I bought off of one of my Sargeants, back in '92, for $487.00 Car lasted 8-1/2 months, best value/ride I've EVER had, so far... Took 1 quart of oil every 3 fillups. Once a week I hadda scrape the "mayo" off the inside of the 710-cap Top speed 83km/hr...EXACTLY that, and no faster, not even down hill, unless I disengaged the clutch and coasted.

Who knows whats gunna happen right now, VR6 is a possibility, I really wish there was a way to make a 20v 5cyl fit in there!!!! Im headed out to go mess with it a bit so ill post some pix when I get back

ok so its an 85 and I swear I could make a 20v fit, just gotta start figuring out how..... Its definatly gunna be a track car though ju8st something fast as hell in a straight line, i dont plan on doing anything suspension wise but i do have a nice set of ronals I can put on it

Nice find. The body looks to be in pretty good shape! I'd say that could fair well in the straight line. Keep us updated as the project unfolds.
