Thats a pretty big jump from an 8 year old A6 to an 07/08 A5- financially. Do you even know how much it will lease for?

Find out the price. I didn't even know they announced it.

How the hell can you afford an A5 if you're still making payments on an 8 year old A6?

I also own a '99 A6 but I don't think I can do much more financially at this point....

Sorry if I sound retarded since i've never leased before but I assume that when you lease you can't make many modifications to the car like wheels and tires and espeically a chip or anything like that as you don't own it right?

what i wanted to do was wait until the A5 comes out and trade in my a6,i love my car but it has 89,000 miles, and right now it needs timming belt replacement, both cats are bad, audi is charging 1,100 for each cat. i cant afford all that plus car notes,i might as well lease the A5 for like 450 a month,**** im paying 410 for the a6 right now

You think a brand new A5 is going to run you a mere $40 moreper monththen the 8 year old A6 eh?

even if its 100 more a month, its much better then 410 a month plus all the maintenence fee's i'll have to be paying for an 8yr old car with 90,000 miles,so far its due for a timming belt replacement at$1000,both cats are bad 1,100 each not including labor cost, even if the a5 cost me $500 a month,i would rather pay that than to be paying for all those maintenence cost
this is my first car i dont really want to get rid of it,what should i do?

Go back to school, a brand new $40,000-$50,000 vehicle will cost you MUCH more than an 8 year old car.
