Default Plants / Animals you just don't f**k with

So here's a thread about what plants or animals you'd least want to accidentally (or I guess if you're daring/stupid enough; voluntarily) come in contact with.

I'll start if off with an animal.

The deadliest frog in the world is the Golden poison dart frog (Phyllobates terribilis) native to Colombia. It produces about a milligram of poison that can kill up to 20 people.

Blackeyed Susan

Abrus species are the most poisonous plants in the world. The glycoprotein Abrin (agglutinin, toxalbumin) is a potent plant toxin: microgram quantities are suficient to kill a man, and just like ricin lectin poisoning there is no antidote. Merck 12th Edition describes Abrin as "a toxic lectin and hemagglutinin obtained from the seeds of jequirity, Abrus precatorius L., Leguminosae, a common vine of tropical countries, also found in central and southern Florida."

The protein binds to the rybosomes in the cell and prevents it from producing proteins. A person dies within 4-5 days with symptoms of hemorrhagic fever

poision ivy or oak.

i have a huge thick vine (1 1/2 to 2 inches in diameter) of it growing up a tree. i tried severing the vine at the base of the tree with a hand saw. i did everything i could to be precautionary about it, but ended up with an ugly rash that lasted forever!!
muthafukin vine wasn't phased in the least.

THIS TIME... i'm gonna take a 2 inch chunk of vine out, then apply some kind of topical killer to the cut line. then i'll take off all my clothes and throw them away and immediately shower. hopefully i'll be the winner of that war.

1. Roundup works GREAT on PI

2. Next time go to CVS and buy technu, it washes the oils off your skin (water & soap wont) as long as you use it shortly after contact. It works wonders, i was clearing brush and ended up cutting and pulling a similar vine out of a tree without knowing it was PI. If it wasnt for this stuff i would have been in agony
