You dont need a magnetic spot on the front RS... you just glue magnets behind the bumper, so any spot becomes magnetic Check out that post of Jests... looked pretty sweet.

DAMN! I wish I had though of/seen Jests post prior to drilling into my bumper. Now I gotta drop $150.00 for a new piece, PLUS whatever magnets costs these days...

haha yeah the magnet industry is sky rocketing! lol. I think its www.rare-earth-magnets.com

they arent so expensive, until you scroll to the bottom... and one magnet pulls with like 40 lbs of force, they are like 10 bucks a magnet.

well its 10 per magnet... so i'd want at least 8, one for each corner, on the bumper side, and the plate side.

but there are lesser magnets, that are way cheaper... you just use more of them. but like a 5 pack of them was 8 bucks or so.

can you find that bumper piece at a wreckers?

It been a few months since I checked (i looked to C what it would run when I first mangled it with my handy dremel), but I think that IS the stripyard price. Stealer wants 2-something... Anyway, not a project for today. Maybe late summer/early fall. I've got time to shop around.

my car had a plate holder on the front when i bought it. i wish it didn't, b/c here in PA front plates aren't required, and i'd rather not have the plate holder on. But i don't know what to do with the holes in the front fender. Maybe i'll just get a cool plate for it.

how about this...?
