Default A question for Audi users

Hi,

I’m Martin White and I’m from a team of game developers. We are creating a new rally game and are looking for fans of specific car makes who would like to see their favorite cars in a rally game. That’s also the reason I’ve visited your community.

I’d like to know if you’d pay more interest to a racing game if there would be more cars of your favorite like and also would be greateful if you’d point out which cars would these favorites be.

And if you have any other thoughts to share about what are you looking for in a racing game then please do share them

Thank you in advance

Martin

Group B Quattro

roadgoing version, too

Make it a simulator instead of an arcade game, add tasteful car selections, and reap the rewards. Look at the success of titles like Forza and Gran Turismo.

I think the A4 (B5, B6, and B7) would be good choices. Not the fastest quattros in the world, but more people have them in their garages than some of the more exotic rally cars. I think if people know that their daily drivers are in a game, their more likely to buy the game.

The game will probably be web-based and for free, so feel free to offer cars that interest you.. there's a great chance that you'll see these cars in a real game.

So I take it that you would like to see more usual street cars in a rally game instead of supercars from Audi?

That would be more consistent with a realistic rally themed game. No one rallies an R8. The old group B coupe quattro is a good choice. I believe there are also plans to re-release the CQ, see here. Would be cool to include a rally-fied version of that

AND

Street AND Rally version of BOTH would be AWESOME!!! In fact, throw in the Lancia Thema/8.32, just for good measure, in the street category... I've ALWAYS wanted to drive one, but was too poor back when I lived in Europe, and they were available.

Ahh, the Stratos. Nice look, bad handling (according to Mr Clarkson).

Definitely the Red Bull A4.

Rear-engined, liquid-cooled... Getting *air* meant you were either lined up, PERFECTLY for which direction you wanted to be headed when you landed, OR, you learned to modify your decision about *where* you wanted to go, when you landed.

If you're gonna do a rallye sim, ya GOTTA include EVERY top vehicle from the Gruppe-B era, including the Ur-Quattro.

Throw in some modern cars, a few FWD, a couple RWD, and EVERY AWD on the market (note: Ferrari just debuted it first EVER AWD beastie) and some way to earn upgrades/mods...

Sit back and watch the ad revenue roll in... If you build it, they WILL login!

Up until you start charging, then I'll quit. heh.

Anyone play 'Live for Speed'?
I used to back when it was in testing (read:free). Then it started getting good, and they started charging, and I was sad.
