Default Ramadan Mubarak!

...For those that are observing.

For me, my Ramadan goes pretty well, so far.

At my age, I have started taking some vegetable-based multi-vitamin tablets after the morning and evening meals. I have found that this is helping my body maintain much, much better than in years past. The radical adjustments (diarrhea, headaches, etc.) aren't as radical, anymore. Especially since I am attempting to maintain a modest fitness regimen during my fast, as well.

Again, RAMADAN MUBARAK, for those that are observing.

What's going to be interesting is that, since Ramadan occurs about 10-11 days earlier, each successive year, it ends around Sept. 10th, this year. Connected with the proposed Islamic Community Center near (not at, or on, but NEAR) the Twin-Towers Memorial site, I predict right-wing-nuts coming from the woodwork screaming conspiracy!!! Especially since President Obama basically confirmed that he is not only the first Black President of America, but a Muslim, as well, by saying that there is nothing wrong with a community center (that happens to be Islamic, in a land FOUNDED on religious tolerance and independence) near (not at, or on, but NEAR) the Twin-Towers Memorial site.

A good time will be had by all.

Ramadan Mubarak!

Why do you stylize "Inshallah" like that? Even in Arabic it's pronounced "Inshallah", not "InshaAllah".

I Have heard it pronounced with many, many dialects, in my travels. I have seen it stylized in much the same way as I have done, more times than I care to count. I have typed it both in such a stylized manner, and without, more times than I can remember. "Stylized," or not, is more a function of how I am moved at the moment that I type, than any intentional thought.

Why do you ask?

BTW, what part of Detroit do you hail from?

talking about the next one for summer of 2010. hopefully we can organize it better this time and have a huge party where no cops will come tell us to leave.

if you do some search for a tai chi video by dr. paul lam you'll be amazed. he's very thorough in his videos.

Well, I've only been Muslim for 30-ish years, or so.

Its no secret, but, all the same, I don't exactly go around trumpeting it from the hilltops, either.

Thank You all for Your Ramadan wishes.
