Default Sad Day

Well, today has been a very sad day for my family and I. My grandmother passed away this morning after a long and difficult battle with cancer. She was the back bone of our family and this is a huge loss to us. I just thought I would try and vent about it. I've been trying to talk to everyone I can about it just to make things a little better. Why anyone would ever put a cigarrete in their mouth is beyond my imagination. This is the 6th person we have lost in our family to cancer. All of them were smokers. If anyone out there smokes, quit now for the sake of your families. It's a terrible habbit that kills so many people every year.

i agree, cigs are real bad. i dunno if it has anything to do with it or not but my great grandmother is still alive and she will be 101 years old this year in may, and guess what she never smoked or drank anything and is in better shape than most 70 year old people around.
I am very sorry to hear of your loss.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother. I lost my mom to breast cancer when she was very young and it hurts to have them leave, but it hurts more to watch them fight so hard to stay. I'm not a Christian, but I do wish your family and you faith that she is at peace.
You're blessed to have had her in your life.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I also quit smoking over a year ago and now I look back and wonder why I ever did it. Hang in there cary12, I have lost a grandparent each december for the past three years and it sucks.
