Post Skoda 1.9TDI loses power

Hi,

I am new to this forum. I got used skoda superb 1.9TDI PD100 53 reg. I have found that it loses power up the hill or on the motorway over 60mph up the hill. The engine managment light comes on. If I switch off and on engine. It gets reset.
The garage says, the turbo is gone. But there is no smoke coming out. No noise and after reading the threads in this forum, I think its can be something else.
I have recently done full service and also got allard EGR delete kit fitted. As one garage thought egr might be the problem.

Any help

Thanks
Swati

I would start with new fuel filters.
It is also possible the turbo is shot or possibly a bad mass air flow sensor.

The fuel filter was changed when I serviced it couple of weeks ago. I will check MAF sensor tommorrow and will let you know.

Thanks mate,

What year is it?

At least in the states, the diesels have some pretty weird emissions stuff on them. Don't know which, if any, systems are shared with the euro versions.

I have a friend who deals only with diesel vw's, specifically, the newer cars. I need to email him tonight anyway, I'll ask what his first guess would be.
