that must've hurt real bad... my younger brother also had a similar experience, some kind of insect found it's way inside my bros ear and bit him... although it didn't get infected and my dad managed to get it out of the ear, my brother was crying the entire afternoon...

dude achtt i hate those "dock spiders" i teach sailing and we have them ALL OVER and little kids seem to have an attraction to bad things such as them i had one kid come walking up the me holding one in his hand one time and was like "look what i found lucas" he was very proud...then the kids spent the rest of the day looking for spiders....it was a mess. luckily no one got bitten.

i slapped one that was running on the water with a boat oar once. like, full swing. didn't even phase it.

where do you teach sailing? I taught myself, do alright, but the big thing is that I no longer have access to a boat. I'd be cool to just get out on the water sometime.

the coolest class I took in college was a sailing class in the Santa Barbara Harbor. So much fun man.

Never had to deal with those dock spiders though. Those things look nasty. They sound pretty resilient too...
