Teenage "car enthusiast" show
Hey all!
I'm 17 years old, a gear head, an avid Top Gear viewer, and a proud owner of a 1998 a4.
Anyways, after watching tonight's episode of season 15, I began to think to myself what possibly ways I could extend my love for cars, and possibly extend that to the rest of my school.
Obviously the dreams of becoming rich and famous and having the best job i world like Clarkson flew over my head, but I was wondering if you all thought it would be fathomable to start something small with two of my other car enthusiast friends.
Obviously, being 17 we don't have the luxuries of many other people with similar ambitions, but we'd still like to have some fun.
This would probably be a monthly show of some sort, I ideas consist of the following:
self service: like when the "service" light flashes, what you can do from your home without taking it in
replacing lightbulbs in the headlights and such
upgrades: biggest bang for your buck (where/how)
- radio, speakers
competitions of sorts
things such as how to install an ipod jack into your car
I think that much of the student body at my school would be able to learn and benefit from things above, no matter the level of car interest they have.
Also, I think that people would find much more interest in things like competitions if they consisted of either their cars of the cars of people they know.
Cars owned by students range from old clunkers to bmw's to even 1 2008 shelby mustang.
Also, I'm thinking maybe if we got enough support, there'd be a chance to get on at track at some point.
Anyways, any thoughts on the subject?
Thanks!

sorry about the confusion.. I was just trying to get my thoughts down on paper.
Anyways, I would want to host something such as a youtube channel that would be focuses on clips featuring me a one or two friends in a similar manner as Top Gear. However, I would also be reaching out for possible user submitted content, all of which would preferably be either relevant to the younger car enthusiast population, or just plain awesome.
For example, living in the Bay Area, there are plenty of beautiful roads around, and I'd want to take a half dozen cameras or so and shoot a clip similar to a road test in various car shows.

I'm starting to get what you're trying to say.
Although I think you have to be really vague about the content as you said you're reaching to car enthusiasts in general, not just Audi drivers.
Would would your contents be?

anwho, sounds like a decent idea. If you have good production values it you may be able to parlay your experiences into a job, reference, college application fluff, etc.
