Default Time to say goodbye :(

Ok guys, I hate to have to say this... but it's time for me to semi-depart the forums..... I traded the Audi in today. Heinz took my car in last week to have a small exhaust leak fixed, for us to find out I needed a control arm and tie rod end replaced, there was a transmission leak, turbo was shot, engine was leaking oil, and I had a major coolant leak. We figured in total the repairs would cost $6K, on a 99 it just wasn't worth it to me to fix it.

The ordeal was really sad though, at one point there were tears in my eyes at the dealership. I salvaged the euro plate off it though, and am gonna frame it. I will miss it horribly, I may wear all black tomorrow to work to signify my mourning, and I tried to convince Heinz we needed to light some candles tonight and maybe have a moment of silence.... but that has yet to happen.

You guys are the best though, I will definately pop in now and again but I won't really be posting as I used to. I really don't have the time like I used to either, and haven't been on much lately anyways, but I'll miss you all. When I get another Audi, which is definately the plan when the lease on the new car is up (i did 3 years), I'll be back. I really plan on getting an S4 though when it's time for the change..... so get ready to be jealous

Muah.

That sucks man! Did you think about taking it to an independent mechanic? I know the stealerships will say stuff is wrong even if it isn't. Just wondering.

No, actually the exhaust place + the boyfriend found all the problems.... I knew my turbo was gone, but I didn't realize about everything else. I called a really good independent place in town, when i described everything to him, he said I could bring it in for an estimate, but he said he'd feel bad doing all the work because it would be such an investment...even he said selling it would be the best bet.
