Default Top Gear USA?

You guys heard about this? Who would you want to see host the show? I dunno, Top Gear is a one of a kind show, the american version might just be another Fifth Gear...I never found Leno that funny anyway.

Ew, for me, either of them as hosts would be reason enough not to watch it.

Both bad choices.

Idk..... I think it has the ability to be decent.. but never as good as the british version. Jeremy Clarkson has so much emotion while driving its always entertaining.

it would SUCK! Just like all the other shows we steal from them (OK, with the minor exceptin of who wants to be a grillionaire, whic I woudl TOTALLY pwn, if I ever decided to go on).

Leno's a car guy, but not that funny, anymore. Not since he took over the Tonnight show. He was real funny, back in the 70's & 80's. Now, he's just another corporate-clown.

And, Seinfeld?!?!? PLEASE! Having money and a couple of noice wheels DON'T make you a car guy, PLUS, he's even LESS funny than Leno, if you ask me (somebody ask me, quick!).

Might as well get that asshat that wrecked teh Ferrari... The undercover bother ("r" deliberately ommitted). Hell, with him powersliding into jersey walls left & right, if might even be funny, in a sad, pathetic kinda way.

Nah... get a REAL car-guy. Reeves Calloway or Carroll Shelby or... ME!!! or, don't do it at all. It'll just end up being another fifth-wheel. Oops, meant "gear."

I think it could work... but not if they use "actors" like Seinfeld and Leno. They need to find some real car guys... some witty unknown (or at least less known)faces and I think the show would be more likely to be a hit and well done. If you throw in the celebrity factor its too likely that Hollywood will rely too much on that for its appeal (as they have a tendency to do), and it'll be more likely to be lame as hell.

I've been wondering lately if there is any originality left in America when it comes to entertainment! This is another mark on the NO column.

If it comes out ill probably watch it, but i doubt it will compare. Top Gear cant be replicated without losing alot of its appeal. Its going to be about whichever car company writes NBC the biggest check that week.

Seinfeld is not as much as Leno, but he is the biggest collector of Porsche in the world. Whatever, it is going to flop. Nothing can beat May, Hammond, and Clarkson.
