seems most all the cars on the list are either american made of Japanese cars. Does anyone no why this is, maybe just randomly worked out like that, are they perhaps easier to steal, or are there just a ton of those types of cars out there?

I think it is because of the large amount of them available. The market is flooded with them. High end cars are less frequent, supply and demand I guess. I am sure most people would rather steal a BMW or Audi or Merc, but 1) they are less common, and 2) they draw more attention. So unless you are taking it staight to a chop shop, you wouldnt want drive around in a car that would draw that much attention to you.
My old roommate had an 2001 prelude (sp) and someone took the top of the engine block that said V-Tec on it. He had 11K on it and we could not figure out why it was not starting until we popped the hood. We were staring at the heads.. We were like holy Sh*^%t. These guys were pros. Did 4 grand in damage and he had a very hard time with the insurance because they really could not believe him when they asked him what happened.
