Default Turbo envy...

So, I was hanging out at the office yesterday and my boss tells me I have to go check out his new car. It's a brand-spankin-new BMW 335i hardtop convertable (he traded is 760iL V10 for it since he wanted something 'sporty',) with the 3.0 twin-turbo V6. It's 300bhp but if you told me it was 400 I would have believed you. It has a fmic that puts the one on the Evo IX to shame, and goes from 0-100 in faster than you can say "you have your seatbelt on?" I don't know where they got the 0-60 in 5.5 seconds, because when I was driving, we got to 60 in about 4.8...

335i's are straight 6's. Those turbos are tiny. I'm curious how long they will last.

That aside I think they're pushing some pretty serious horsepower and I wish Audi would junp in the game.

the turbos are small but the smaller one spool almost off idle and then the bigger turbo takes over. change out htat turbo and raise th boost and bye bye evos. i still dont think its any faster than a stock RS4. cant wait to see what number tuners can make it.

My bad on the V6 part, but anyway, he gets a new car every year

Its definitely not faster thatn a RS4. Its supposed to be in the same class as the S4. ANyways its really fast and looks sexy, especially the droptop.

I tried to convice him to test drive the RS4 Cabriolet since he wanted a convertable, but he wouldn't hear it. Audi left a bad taste in his mouth since he's owned two and had bad problems with both of them, and an even worse time dealing with the dealerships and customer service. It sucks when a few bad apples can ruin something for someone forever.
