So its old school vs new school....

I think todays fighters are way more prepared & skilled than the old-style -
because they are so well balanced w/ striking & grappling...but....

I think Gracie is on a different level, sort of like Jordan not being able
to compete in todays NBA team dynamics -but to play one on one -
he'd be able to dominate most players.

He's the best at what he does & helped found the sport... I just hope he doesnt pull a ken shamrock,,, [:'(]

I believe if Gracie gets him on the ground its over. Stand up fight, Hughes all the way. Hughes has the overall strenght advantage.

 

I think it going to be really close with hughes winning. One thing I got my fingers crossed on is NO 10 SECOND KO!! I would be really pissed. They are both phenominal athletes, but I am not sure if gracie has progressed with the modern day fighter, but he is a true master at what he does... so it is going to be hard to call a winner. I don't even know who to cheer for. I say hughes is going to win though.

just to see him beat the odds - he may not have evolved enough though - but yes, he is a master of

wow, he got dominated on the ground, and almost submitted. Not what I was expecting. I was expecting some hard hits from matt which is what ended the fight but I didn't expect it like that. amazing!

I called that the whole way! Matt Hughes is incredible. He totally worked him last night. All the crap that the Gracie family talks about how perfect their fighting system is and how no one can beat them. Well, Matt Hughes made him his bitch last night. I thought it was great. Now Gracie can go back to his hole for another ten years or so. I'm glad it was a good fight because all the other ones were crap. I had a big turn out at my place so it was really fun. Had about ten of my buddies over and all of us but one poor soul was for Matt Hughes.

Did anyone see the previews for UFC 61!! It's going to be the best UFC yet. Arlovsky vs. Sylvia and Ortiz vs Shamrock! Two headline fights in one night. We'll get to see Shamrock get his face beat in by Ortiz again. LOL. Shamrock is such a loser.
