vibration on 2013 s5
 

Hey everyone,
Wondering if anyone has experienced some vibration when you have your wheels turned all the way (either direction) or almost engaged For example when you are making a u turn very slowly or when backing out when parked then you have to turn wheel all the way to get going rolling slowly with pressing on gas ever so gently a vibration is felt not so much in steering wheel. It can just be heard . Dealership says it is normal for the s5 to do that it's the quattro system. More prevalent to do that with that model than any other. Thanks in advance for your input.

My 2006 S4 (with quattro, obviously) does something very similar to what your describing. I caulk it up to a combination of quattro and the fact that the wheels are turned so far to one direction that the inside wheel is traveling a lot shorter distance than the outside.

Can you feel it sort of in the middle of the car?
It could very well be the center diff. I'm pretty sure your center diff is a torsen diff with a high bias ratio, which is more prone to this sort of thing than a torsen diff with a lower bias ratio (like on the A5/A4).

yeah I would say its more in the midde cuz I don't feel the vibration on my steering wheel. So is it normal for it to do so or should take it in for warranty repair?

That I couldn't tell you. Mine vibration is more like a deep bass sound/ vibration definitely coming from the front of the car. If it's only at really low speeds with the steering wheel at lock or almost there, I wouldn't sweat it too much. If you're really worried, maybe take it to a different dealer (if possible) for a second opinion.
