What do u think of this s4?
Its a 2001 62,000 mi s4. It has all the options and is in perfect condt. Its 16,500 i. The only thing is it has a salvage title because the car has been stolen. Is this a bad thing? How does the title affect resale so when i go to sell it later. Dp u think i should be able to get it even lower b/c of the title. What do u think i should offer? I would like to get it for 14,500 but am i pushing it?
OO and for all u think oo hes back to the s4. i always have been saying if i find a deal for it i would buy it in a sec. The camaro is just another one in 2nd place. I have still yet to drive it.

Isnt that the only reason why someone would get an S4? In a nutshell...

By the way, the car isnt worth jack **** with the salvage title on it... dont know if thats the best route.
Try to haggle with him.
apg96 - It's not important that it was stolen.
What IS important is what damage the thieves caused.
.
Do you have access to any invoices showing what was done to put it back together?
It was totalled by an insurance company for a reason. Look uo wholesale blue book on the car. If the damage was about 80% of wholesale blue book or under, the insurance company would usually repair it. Basically it means that this nice car you're lookin at probably had about $10,000 + of damage on it. Somebody bought the salvaged car at auction and IS TRYING TO MAKE $$ ON IT! The less that person put into it to be able to sell it, the more profit he has. There were probably shortcuts taken in the repairs. Check the steering wheel and passenger dash - make sure the airbags are there. Some unscrupulous salvage repairers put "covers" on that look like the original airbag covers.
. If you are seriously thinking about this, have a competant mechanic AND body shop check it out.

One its not 80% percent when i had my accident it was 60% and as far as the guy told me the bumpers; front and rear; and the headlights were stolen. He replaced the bumpers iwth stock and the headlights with ecodes. If its salavge does it mean the car was totaled? I mean KBB on the car if it was a clean title is 22,000. How do i know if the airbags are there? I think the guy said it when to a chop shop and was repaired by teh orginal owner and then he bought it 2 months ago. I will find out in the car fax once i get the vin. Other than a mechinc checking it out what do i need to do? If i had the vin and teh car fax would it tell me where it was repaired? Make sure they are a good place.
