Default What's Your Job?!

There are a ton of us on here, all hours of the day, night, and even times in between.

I was just wondering, what do all of us do for work? What do we make a living doing? There are hundreds of thousands of occupations out there, but I was just wondering what kind of jobs we've all got. Is it a white collar job, a blue collar job?! Lets find out!

I'll start it out...

I, myself,am the Maintenance Plannerfor a company that runs 50 or so feeder aircraft for FedEx, we are our own private company, we just contract out for them. We've got airplanes nation-wide, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the Phillipines. I sit behind a desk all day (hence why I am on here so damn much), and basically make work-orders for upcoming and sometimes past-due maintenance.

The "past due" maintenance, lol, rarely ever comes up. And usually what I mean by past due is that it hasn't reached its mfg time-out limit, but rather our companies time frame in which to perform maintenance to/replace the said item. I don't recall any time we've exceeded the FAA Guidlines without getting proper documentation to allow so, which usually involves inspections of components, and so forth to make sure our aircraft are safe.

regardless of my last statement, I will still not fly.

I'm an underwriter for an insurance company. Boring job but pays well and great job security since people will always need insurance.
