It's been around for decades! What do you thing microwave transmitters/recievers do? Obscene amounts of power are beamed and collected via line-of-sight. Of course they use it to xmit data, but mega-watts/second needed to "carry" the info at those frequencies.

This is just a scaled-down version of military toys. Nuthin new, not really.

sorry can't see this as unharmful...

Old friend of mine was in the Air Force during the 60-70's - flew in a radar plane at extreme high altitudes where it's very cold. Some of the airmen would sit and put their feet against the RADAR transmitters (same as microwave) to heat their feet. After a few months some complained about pain and suffered from bad circulation. Came to find out they had slowly cooked parts of their feet!

He was a radio guy - so they had rigged a small heater for him at his station. But he often wonders his some of his ailments (too many to list) may have been caused by being in that plane with those high powered transmitters...

well, DUH! Microwaves ARE a form of ENERGY RADIATION. Like sitting under a UV sunlamp for hours/day, everyday, and wondering why you have skincancer.

FTR, the type up energy transferends they're talking about will be inductive (some form of direct contact or close proximity), I believe, not radiative, as in microwave tyransmitters. So, teh chance of serious health issues would be extremely miniscule. You'd be more likely to step outside your front door and be run over by a train, on your porch, I believe.

having read the article and looking up some stuff on this - it works on a magnetic resonance... essentially if two stations are on the same frequency power can tranfer without damage to those that run on difference frequencies... but the human body reacts to all sorts of things - directly/indirectly.

Not getting the warm fuzzies on this... sorry... sounds good but there should be more proof.

Don't want the human race disappearing like the honey-bee - have you read about this?

I think the Honey-Bee dissappearance is something like teh phenomena identified in "HitchHikers Guide to the Universe," with the Dolphins, except it's Bees, this time. (You remember the last time, when the Unicorns all left, right?)
