Why?

 

I work at an Audi dealer as a grease monkey. Haven't had this job for that long but so far I'm digging it. If things go my way I'll break into the corporate ranks at some point. Knowing Audis inside and out usually does two things; you either appreciate the cars that much more from seeing how well they're designed and built, or you hate them that much more seeing how they're designed and built. I fall into the first category. This job also gives me a newfound appreciation for life on the other side of the service counter; if only some customers could see the things we techs have to put up with!

i love working on cars, but i find that i just dont give a damn if it isnt my car, so tech wasnt my career of choice

 

its a vicious cycles that will never end

 

I do. I do many things mechanic, sales, acution rep, and service. I work for my famly (used vw audi dealership in pa). I Love it! Benn doing for about 6 years my self family for about 50

 

where at in pa are you ?

 

i work on the side as a mechanic for audis and dubs. i used to work for speed shops and a dealership and hated that. there is no way i found to make good money working for someone else. now i do it on the side for some select customers and love working on cars again. independants ftw.

 

And what you fail to realize is that all techs ARE customers at one point or another. If goes one way, but not necessarily the other.
