screw rotary's go big or go home with a shoehorned 427:D

but in all honesty I like rotary engines minus their lack of torque. But can you imagine a 427 in there, the thing would be so scary fast.

Scary is right.
What you're talking about would ruin the whole purpose of the car. Monster Motorsports in Escondido Calif. dropped in 302's (with quite a bit of modification / fabrication), and they BARELY fit. You would have to virtually re-engineer the whole front structure of the vehicle to get a 427 to fit, and then what would you have? - -- A small car with a big engine that won't handle.

With the rotary, you don't really need the torque - car's light already, even lighter with the rotary.

Go for it!....they're alot of fun and really cheap to mod and maintain!...jackson racing sc is a freakin blast....Sadly, due to intense canyon drifting (lol)... the mine has most likely been parted out....but for about 40k it was mine and it was outrageously fun....

This is 4 girlfriends and about a year and a half ago (at the top up stunt rd. in the santa monica mountains)

the fart can and the one altezza light were more of a huge joke (I had 3 jettas before this car, and now I drive da a4)

this is what happens when you hit the side of a mountain in reverse at about 60mph (gravel supn me around)
this happened about 3 miles up the hill from la canada on angeles crest hwy(canyon)

I walked away without a scratch, my "co-pilot" was not so lucky....

first mod would definately be a roll bar!

good luck!

he lost a little hair and a little scalp, not bad enough to need stitches or anything, but they did take him away in an ambulance to verdugo hills hospital's ER and ran every test and scan imaginable....thank god for insurance and low deductables!

well, Quattro ftw!

and as far as monster miatas go, they are rediculous, there were a few guys I used to talk to on the mazda forum back in da day and they were always talking about straight lnes and 2nd gear launches....I chose to save the feature of handleing and reliability....those little engines last a lifetime! and w a s/c they really do haul bawls....

I suppose I could seam weld the frame to stiffen the hell out of the already stiff frame. That would be kickass.

i do it, i remember i let this kid drive my A4 and am pretty sure he fucked with the gears and th clutch, so if you got a little that you can use to teach people on and have some fun at autoX, get it, just make sure the clutch is the only thing you need.
