Your Year..(2007)
Share how its been so far, I know its not over quite yet.
How has everyones 2007's been up to this point? On a scale of 1/10.. share whats happened both
positive/negative if you would like.
I suppose I'll start. My years been up and down, mainly down though.[
] Its been a f**king long year and I haven't had one this bad in ever? I guess its part of getting older, I'm only 18 though.
Well...
-My dog died late 2006
-Parents told me and my brother out of the blue they're getting divorced in March-ish (22years married)
-I'm involved in a rather complex situation with a girl that seemed great until last night, its like a f**king rollercoaster though.
-Im currently living out here on my own, so I can attend my senior year with some close friends. When I first moved here I lived with a friend I'm not "Great" friends with.. but either way its a friend. Got f**king backstabbed and ended up leaving there. (Got over that in about a week, shoulda saw it coming. Sucks that people are such idiots though.)
-My A4 got oil sludge on the drive down here (made for the worst day ever, LONG story) and I was without a car my first month and a half out here.. luckily I got some good friends so it wasn't the worst thing ever. And now I'm sitting on a brand new engine.
-My A4 has had multiple expensive problems, I dont think its a lemon but sometimes i just don't know.
-Although I lived here for 10 years (originally), and Texas the last 2.. I do miss some people in Texas. Never easy leaving anywhere. But thats how it goes
-Dealt with a rather high amount of highschool drama not really created by me, not really what I wanna be involved in. Some of its sorta my fault for being involved in this girl thing though. F**kkkkk. Idk
-Lots of my family have had to evacuate there houses due to the Southern California Fires
-Lot of drama with my mom especially before I moved away....christ. Sometimes I doubt shes stable, but she was raised to worry.. so thats what she does I guess. (Drunk parents, 6 younger siblings.. she practically raised them all)
Yeah... So those are definitly the negatives. And I can't think of alot of positives really worth listing.
-Have some really good friends
- Got to ride in Jeffs Evo (RoflroffrlorfgrfPOS)
jk, s**ts fast!
-Lot of laughs, lot of good times since I got here
-Really close with both my cousins (Close in age, they're in college ASU)
I've had a lot of fun, but the negatives seem to be attracted to me this year and its f**king bulls**t.
That is all.. I know it looks like a whinefest but its not meant to be.
Post if you want, you don't have to though.

I think its admirable of you to ask others inspiteofyou having a tuff one.
For me, its been one of the best years ever. Nothing spectacular but nothing really horrible either.
I am just truly blessed, appreciative and thankful for what I have.
Health, great daughters, great house, great job, great car, living in the greatest country in the world.
No dog yet but that's on the horizon.

Those are things I should always list. Thanks alan.
I'm glad everythings going so smooth for you, hope it continues
Well, my philosophy is - if you have your health - what the f*ck you b!tch'n about???
Been an interesting year as well... though I doubt anyone will read this - but here goes...
Married my girlfriend of two years (both our third time at bat) could not be happier...
Bought my first house and damn it's big - with an equally big mortage to go with it... [&:]
Had my oldest boy move out from Colorado to work for me in February. At 19 making $2500 a month... not bad, right? Well...
Had my oldest boy move back to Colorado because he was homesick in July.
Got a new puppy that seems to feel we need underground exits in at least a dozen places from out the backyard - doubt he'll live to see his first birthday [:@]
Went to Vegas - and as they say what goes on in Vegas - stays in Vegas.... [:-]
Bought the wife a new car (07 Nissan Altima) that broke down in Vegas - dealership had it fixed (bastards had better it only had 3200 miles on it) - a clamp failed on a radiator return hose. [:'(]
In talks right now to put a pool in the back yard... might bury the dog there before they lay concrete - lets see him dig his puppy butt outta that one.[>:]
Year's only 3/4 the way through though, Amze, lets see how it pans out

Man for me the year has been all over the place. Overall I'd give it maybe a 7
Winter
started out with a pretty good ski season.
Then a ticket and a 30 day suspension
then the whole I have to decide college thing came down to the wire and the money didn't come for me to go to my #1 choice (UC Boudler) but I'm glad I ended up here (OSU)
Um started a relationship with this girl but it never worked out real well and we stopped in early summer (still friends though)
Srping
Worked my a$$ off and got Eagle Scout (So many times I just wanted to say FU<K it, I'm done but so glad I didn't)
Turned 18
much chilling with friends
Summer
Found out I have some friends who are really trying to Fu<K their lives up (and anything I've tried to do has done nothing for them yet)
had a blast out in New Mexico for three weeks teaching a leadership camp.
A guy I knew ran away from home and later was found dead in a park
Worked during the summer and made some good money
Came to school, good + meeting a lot of cool people, learned to wake board, got involved with clubs.
Fall
Strongly thinking about joining the armed forces at times
Dog is being put to sleep soon
Thats the highlights of the year so far. I guess it's been an overall good year but it's had it's problems.
The thing that sucks is there seems to e death around me for a while within the past couple of years my uncle died of cancer my great grandma died (102 years old), some people I knew in the scouting community died. 10 of my friends friends have all passed on(I didn't know any of them but it's been a hard time for him), and now my dog has to go.
I'm looking forward to the future though. I live by the motto of making no mistakes and learning from every thing I do, so I see all this as a time to grow and become a stronger person because of it.
But the year is far from over and who knows what my favorite season will hold for me.

it's been something ofa combination between arollercoaster and the spinning ride where the floor drops out from beneath you. my head is spinning and i feel like i could puke at any time.
