I was out to day and saw a corvett (last years body style) with an emblem that said Z-07, Now while it was a very well made emblem, the guy oviously didn't know that its not a progrestion up the numbers like chrislers 300 series. just a very funny something to see. I pulled up next to him and just shook my head in discust. what an idiot.

 

I'd say maybe he had a tonne of performance mods... and just thought it'd be funny...
but I wouldnt think somebody would make a joke out of a z06... or any C5 vette for that matter.

 

then why wouldnt the owner leave the car Z06, why change it so Z07, thats just stupid. Thats like someone changing there S4 so S5? If i saw someone do that, id def make fun of him. It has to be some joke or something

 

its not stupid u are zo7 is like a stage two kit for the vettes, look it up u get the z07 package and iut gives u like another 100 horses, i knew this guy who had a race vette with that package on it. sssssiiiiiikkkkkk

 

the new corvettes have a z07 engine in them, the blue devil, schedueld for release in 09, has a 600 hp 650 tq (or somhing crazy like that, im not sure)

my buddy is gonna let me take it for a test drive once the first models of the z07 come in.

 

Z-06 is a trim package much like the "S" for the s4, Z-07 was the code for "Performance Suspension (coupe only)" and was an option on all corvett coupes. The fact that a company has based it reputation on the name Z-07 is purlly rednecked and need a swift kick in the jimmy. the Z-06 name sake has been around as far back as 1963 when it was offerd as a performance package that consisted of 327cid. engine, larger gas tank, better brakes, heavy duty supention, and knock off wheels. Its not something that keeps going up in the number. It just kinda pisses me off. Like it was said above. Its kinda like seeing someone with S5 badges on there car. just plain stupid.

yeah, I'm aware of that company, but like previously stated the fact that they would call it that is just stupid. and this guy must have just gotten teh badges then cus there was nothing special.

 

but still i would never change the badges on a car if i upgraded it. esp to Z07

 

It just makes you look that much dumber. I meen If apr or someone came out with a kit that compleatly upgraed an A4 or S4, they wouldn't dare call it A5 or S5. cus that would just be the fvcking stupid.
