Zombies

The problem with explosives is that you have to carry them, set them, and then you're going to want to wait around and watch them. Loud noise and huge amounts of fire and shaking ground will be sure to attract all sorts of unwanted attention, so it's best to leave the explosives for the soldiers.
Plus, the problem with zombies is that they don't get 'killed' by most explosives. Most explosions, the most damage is caused by shrapnel, which kills by inflicting trauma and you bleed to death. That doesn't work on a zombie, because you can punch as many holes in them as you like and they will still keep coming. Cut the legs off and they will drag themselves to you. See what I'm saying? If it were something like napalm, a flaming zombie can still walk around till the brain burns out, and light your entire camp and supplies on fire. Thats why we use our guns and go for the headshot, not toss grenades everywhere.

Wonder if you erase that many pensioners would it effect the current econmy in a good way? there could be serious upside to this training...
