Audi in F1
I dont think F1 would interest Audi execs. What Audi is riding on is the revolutionary quattro system. There is no incentive for Audi to participate in what is essentially a rear wheel drive race. Audi is behind in developing technology to make them competitive on an F1 level. This is where Toyota earns my respect. Although you may not see some of the toyota F1 stuff trickle down to Camrys or Corollas, the Lexus IS-F has seen some of that technology in it.
those racing endeavors of the company were/are misguided. successful as Audi is in those series, dont be shocked for Audi to pull out in the near future.
I believe that is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.
I don't expect to see Audi in F1 anytime soon. It costs way too much to be competitive, and they wouldn't gain much "streetable" information from it. Toyota spends like $450 million a year to run F1 or something crazy like that.

The competitive teams spend over $350 million per year. It just doesn't make business since for Audi to go into another form of racing that expensive.
Audi likes bringing things from the racecars to the street. So much so that the people who work on the race program have to move to the road program after 3 years, that way what they've learned gets applied to road cars. Think about what we've got from the racing programs: FSI, TDI improvements, Quattro, and so on.

I'd venture a guess that the answer would be a number 3 lockwasher. Aside from that and the race-spec blinker fluid w/ extended reservoir, the Camry is a whole different "beast"...
