Default adaptive brake lighting, xenon headlights?

Does the RS4 have LED brake lights with adaptive feature? Or are they standard bulb type?

And are the zenons adaptive, leveling vert and horiz?

Most luxury cars in this price range have these features and for 66k I would hope the RS4 does too.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by adaptive brake lights, but it does have adaptive headlights (they turn based on how fast you're going and the wheel direction), and they are Xenon bulbs (including the headlights).

They do not level vertically, as far as I know.

from the 2007 NA Launch Information Guide (pdf from March):

LIGHTING
Bi-xenon headlights with automatic self-leveling
Adaptive Front Lighting System (pivots with steering wheel direction at certain speeds)
Two front fog lights located in lower front bumper
One rear fog light in left rear light for visibility in foggy/rainy/snowy weather conditions
Rear light assemblies with red coloring and red flashing signal blinker bulbs
Daytime running lights utilizing front lighting (US: Customer-programmable with bi-xenon: Canada standard)
White side turn indicator lights in front fenders with amber shine-through bulbs

Yep, that about covers it BP. I notice w/ the adaptive lighting I can be going 5-10mph down my driveway and they still shift from left to right. Does it say anywhere in the manual (have not seen) that it engages after a certain speed or is it only disengaged when at a stand still? Did not think it would impress me that much or make a huge difference but it really does. Especially up in N. GA on roads that are only 12ft wide...comes in handy.

I was told the headlights work above 12 m.p.h.

Adaptive brake-lights are a BMW thing that the hard you hit the brakes a corresponding wider area of the brake lights, light up.

They should activate around 7-mph is what's in a press release. Pretty sure I saw something in the Owner's Manual and when they deactivate. think it was over 60

The Audi range of unique options also offers perfect solutions for when the sun goes down: the best examples are the xenon plus headlights with outstanding dipped and main xenon beams and automatic-dynamic headlight range control. They illuminate the area in front of the car evenly and intensively.

Even better visibility on the road is ensured by adaptive light including bi-xenon headlights. Featuring swivel headlight units, this dynamic cornering light system activates effectively from a speed of about 7 mph and illuminates twists and turns in the road far more than a tradition lighting system. Daytime running lights, which can also be deactivated manually if required, complete the lighting package.

I still like the technology even if it is a safety feature. Like I mentioned earlier in this thread, when on old country roads with no gaurdrail in the N. GA moutains...they come in handy.
