I'm a little worried guys... sorry to post in here
Hey forum,
I have some white smoke coming out of both my tail pips right now. It's not constant but when I rev it a little bit and get out and check I can see it .
Questions:
1. Is it my turbos?
2. What would the smell be like? (it smells like gas more than anything)
3. Would I hear any other noises from my engine? Whistling or anything? (there are none currently
4. If it is my turbos, how long before they're completely done?
5. If they are and they go out, can I still drive my car with "dead" turbos?
6. If it is my turbos, should I try to get some more k03s or get ko4s?
I would really appreciate any and all info you guys can give me. I need as much help/advice I can get.
Thanks.
Cheers,

yeah thats what I thought. Could both seals go bad at the same time too tho? And the other thing I thought it could be was the cylinder head. If it was the turbos would I lose a lot of power?

UPDATE:
So I went back out and started her up again. I had a little bit of white smoke only out of the left pipe (which I've had before) and none at idle. I revved it a bit and got some more smoke but far less than originally. So I'm thinking oil is collecting in the turbo somewhere??? Perhaps turbo gasket? I had no loss in power driving today which leads me to believe that it can't be the turbos themselves since I would think I would lose power if it was them. And if it was the cylinder head I would lose power too right?
I know that either way I need to take it to the shop which I will in the week.
Thanks for all replies, much appreciated.

A little bit of white "smoke" is not unusual. Byproducts of combustion are CO2 and H2O. You'll probably notice it more in the cold weather when it condenses faster. There can also be some oil leakage from your turbos which can be normal or a sign of gradually failing turbos. Mine have been doing it for about 40k and I'm at 190k. I'm not convinced the oil goes into the fuel flow -- it can also leak externally. But when they go, I am considering a K04 kit.
